Lovely layering of dark colors and images, I especially like the work on the flask, his green ring, and the piles of books. They really do look like the faded colors and worn out edges of old tomes. Nicely crafted scene. Vaguely reminds me of Snape from the Happy Potter books, probably because of the dark strand of hair that’s fallen before his face as he focuses on his task.
